Independent bookstores directly serve the community and the individual. Their contributions are invaluable—and in ways that aren’t being replicated online. Independent bookstores support core values of community, creativity, convening, civility and contact. Book shops also provide a valuable resource and outlet for many local authors to distribute their work. Northern Ireland is blessed with having several outstanding local book stores.
No Alibis
No Alibis is Northern Ireland’s only specialist crime bookstore. Based on Botanic Avenue, in the centre of Belfast, specialising in crime fiction and American studies publications No Alibis have signed editions and special bookshop events including visiting authors.
